Child Welfare Team Supervisor

If you feel equally strong about those sentiments, we encourage you to apply to be a Team Supervisor in the Child Welfare Program. A site supervisor works alongside their team members to deliver strengths-based, client-centered and trauma informed services to families experiencing abuse or neglect. This person will provide regular supervision to staff members using a clinical and quality assurance lens. This person should also be able to work collaboratively with community members including personnel within the court systems. Supervisory experience is preferred in order to have knowledge of how to develop leadership skills in team supervisors. Other important qualities would include: working with diverse populations, problem solving skills, de-escalation skills, the ability to prioritize, strong writing skills and being resilient in crisis situations. 
Requirements include:  
  • A master's degree in Social Work or another acceptable degree approved by DCFS
  • Two years of full time experience in the social work setting
  • Must pass DCFS background check
  • Valid driver's license, insured vehicle, clean driving record, and three years of driving experience
