Film Producing Internship

Full Spectrum Features is a vertically-integrated organization, meaning that we develop, produce, and distribute content. This allows us to offer internships in multiple areas of focus, including creative development, producing, graphic design, creative distribution, and data analytics. FSF internships are best viewed as office internships as we are always developing, producing, and distributing but are not always in production; opportunities to work on set are limited.

Internships are unpaid, but current students can earn academic credit through select local Chicago universities and colleges.

Please note: Full Spectrum Features is committed to the safety of our team. Internships will be 100% remote until it is safe to return to a physical office, as per the guidelines of the CDC and the Illinois Department of Health. Upon return to a physical office, interns will be expected to work from the organization’s physical location: 2233 S Throop St, Chicago, IL 60608.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Note: This is not a production internship; there will be only limited opportunities to work on set. Producing interns will have the opportunity to learn about above-the-line indie film producing and non-profit administration. They will gain hands-on experience in our thriving office, working closely with the Full Spectrum staff to support the development, production, and distribution of vital independent media. Our interns are a crucial part of our organization and are empowered to work in a self-directed manner. Specific work assignments will be catered towards the intern's interests and skills when possible. The internship will also include an educational component focused on professional development.

Producing interns will have the opportunity to learn the following skills, relevant for jobs in independent film producing, production management, and arts administration:
●     Production planning and scheduling
●     Casting
●     Hiring crew and negotiations
●     Independent filmmaking contracts and legal matters
