Training and LMS Specialist

Training and LMS Specialist
Work directly with the Mission and Professional Development Department in developing training content and managing a Learning Management System for the agency. Candidate will demonstrate proficiency with M365 administration, and provide technical and training support to staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop engaging learning content, courses, and curricula, utilizing an array of instructional design strategies, focusing on innovative ways to deliver training
  2. Manage eLearning software platform, LMS Learning Center, and various training tools
  3. Administer and manage courses within the learning management system
  4. Manage users, assigning training as needed
  5. Track performance/progress, and measure competencies of online learners
  6. Maintain and manage project schedules and provide status reports
  7. Research and obtain relevant and reliable content for training courses
  8. Utilize a variety of media, multimedia files, and social media tools to develop interactive eLearning
  9. Provide recommendations on effective delivery method.
  10. Work in partnership with subject matter experts and stakeholders across all levels of the agency to gather information needed to develop learning deliverables
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for all Staff:
1. Apply and promote the organizational mission and values within the agency and community.
2. Understand agency commitment to a systemic approach in our work with all clients through our family centered, strength based and trauma informed practice model.
3. Adhere to all agency policies; including but not limited to the Confidentiality Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures.
4. Follow applicable agency and professional Codes of Ethics, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Policy.
5. Adhere to the mandated reporting procedures outlined in the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act including suspected animal abuse. Staff must also report, within 24 hours, any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation of an older person to the Department on Aging's Elder Abuse and Neglect Program, where the older person, because of dysfunction, is unable to report for themselves. The reporting requirement is limited to those older persons the professional sees when they are carrying out their professional duties.
6. Identify and report any safety risks as per agency policy.
7. Facilitate problem solving and demonstrate proactive conflict resolution skills with co-workers and clients.
8. Demonstrate ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with a diverse work force and with culturally and socioeconomically diverse populations.
9. Demonstrate cultural humility by seeking a better understanding of the differences between own culture and culture of others, with a willingness to appreciate both diversity and inclusivity.
10. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and processes.
11. Enhance professional knowledge and skills. Participate in trainings, seminars and in-services as assigned.
12. Dress appropriately as a professional representative of The Center for Youth and Family Solutions both in the community or office and appropriate for the activity i.e. client contact, court, meetings, training, etc.
13. Know and follow the agency's formal grievance procedures for staff and clients when applicable.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
Experience: 1-3 years of related Learning Management System experience preferred
Instructional Design
Functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite and especially Office 365
Necessary Skills:
  • Must possess technical skills related to instructional technologies and software applications
  • Advanced knowledge of eLearning authoring tools, and video editing software
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Internet, SharePoint skills, and popular social media platforms
  • Advanced and analytical internet research skills
  • Capable of evaluating websites and critically assessing research
  • Strong communication skills adept at listening, explaining, and providing feedback
  • Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to all audiences
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, successfully meeting deadlines
  • Adaptable to change and solution-focused at problem-solving
Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, ability to transport self to various locations.
  • 21 years of age preferred and must have 3 years of driving experience with license.
