JOB SUMMARY: The Prevention Program Coordinator creates accessible resources which build community capacity for the primary prevention of sexual violence. This is accomplished through developing and providing trainings, providing technical assistance, and collaboration with organizations and individuals implementing prevention within Minnesota. This position also leads the Community Prevention Partnerships Program; including grant supervision. This position offers remote work options and is open to all resident in Minnesota, regardless of geographic location/city. 

ANNUAL SALARY:  $45,000 - $50,000
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
·      Manage sub-grantee process and oversee sub-grantees that support sexual violence prevention initiatives including providing input on proposals and budgets, implementing work plans, writing reports, monitoring use of sub-grantee funds, and reporting on impact
·      Provide technical assistance and site visits
·      Partner with and learn from communities, organizations, and individuals engaged in prevention, and implement learning into MNCASA’s programs as part of our continuous quality improvement efforts
·      Proactively identify, vet, and share resources and best practices with organizations and individuals through regular e-newsletters and as web content
·      Research and write training materials, articles, toolkits, and other resources
·      Communicate needs regarding technical assistance and emerging issues in the field, and recommend practice and policy changes that improve community-based solutions regarding the primary prevention of sexual violence
·      Contribute to grant reporting and fulfillment of prevention program grant objectives
·      When assigned, supervise the work of MNCASA contractors, interns, and volunteers working on projects related to prevention.
·      In coordination with MNCASA evaluators, conduct follow-up to assess effectiveness of trainings and technical assistance provided. Analyze data collected, use results to inform modifications, and report on impact of prevention efforts
·      Represent MNCASA at external meetings, conferences, and events as needed
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
·      Minimum of two years of experience in sexual assault prevention or a closely related field.
·      Bachelor’s degree in sociology, public health, or related field (on-the-job experience in a related field, or comparable combination of career and life experiences may substitute for college degree), Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
·      Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
·      Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and ensure quality work
·      Ability to self-direct and take initiative with minimal supervision
·      Ability to engage in collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution, in addition to providing critical feedback to improve processes and programming
·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and research ability
·      Demonstrated experience delivering oral presentations to diverse professionals and audiences; including workshops and presentations
·      Demonstration of authentically engaging with diverse communities
·      A passion for and demonstrated commitment to MNCASA’s mission and programming; including dedication to anti-oppression efforts
·      Ability to travel nationally or statewide, including overnights and weekends as needed
·      Experience with logic models and evaluation planning (preferred)
·      Experience in sexual assault advocacy work (preferred)
·      Working knowledge of key primary prevention concepts including the Socio-Ecological Model, the Spectrum of Prevention, and Community Readiness Model (preferred)
·      Experiencing with grant management and reporting, including sub-grantee management (preferred)
·      Recent completion of 40-hour sexual assault advocacy training (preferred)
 
ORGANIZATION SUMMARY: The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) provides leadership and resources for sexual assault programs and allies to prevent sexual violence while promoting a comprehensive, socially just response for all victims/survivors. We support, convene, and collaborate with sexual assault programs, advocates, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers to promote a more victim-centered response to sexual violence, and increase effective criminal justice. Our prevention programs take action before someone is harmed, and we work with policy makers and elected officials for laws and programs that fight sexual violence. MNCASA provides:
(1)    Victim and Survivor Support by helping partner programs and medical personnel, law enforcement, and legal and social service providers deliver state of the art victim advocacy and support;
(2)    Prevention Support by developing the capacity of partner programs and others to design and implement effective community-level primary prevention strategies;
(3)    Policy Reforms through public policy education and advocacy; and
(4)    Systems Change by developing capacity in medical, criminal justice, social service, and judicial systems to incorporate a coordinated and victim-centered approach into their responses.
