Annual Salary: $62,000- $62,000


Description
Leading strategic communications consultancy exclusively focused on the life sciences is seeking an ambitious professional for a Junior Associate position. This is an incredible opportunity for a highly motivated team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and an interest in supporting high-stakes communications initiatives for biotech companies.
The firm provides corporate communications and investor relations counsel to public and private companies across therapeutic areas, including investor targeting and outreach; public relations; internal, digital, financial, ESG, pipeline, product and regulatory communications; event planning; and creative services. There is significant opportunity to interface with C-suite client executives, learn about the biotech industry and take on increased responsibility.

Responsibilities
·        Supporting mid- and senior-level colleagues with wide-ranging client-related communications activities
·        Drafting and managing distribution of client press releases
·        Monitoring analyst commentary and/or media coverage and preparing summary reports for clients
·        Conducting targeting and direct outreach to investors and media on behalf of the client
·        Assisting in the development and maintenance of client PowerPoint presentations, website content, messaging documents and other materials
·        Drafting social media content and collaborating with Creative, and drafting other corporate communications deliverables including thought leadership articles, media pitches and internal emails
·        Supporting clients at onsite and virtual investment and medical/scientific conferences, and helping to plan and execute company research and development (R&D) and investor days, and key opinion leader (KOL) events
·        Managing certain administrative tasks related to client accounts, including scheduling meetings and managing agendas

Qualifications
·        Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
·        Previous internship or professional experience in an IR/PR/communications agency or life science/healthcare organization preferred 
·        Strong written and oral communication skills
·        Experience drafting business communications and/or strategic communications materials preferred
·        Strong analytical skills; ability to balance high level thinking while digging deep into the details
·        Exceptional project management and organizational skills; keen attention to detail
·        Ability to work on multiple projects within a fast-paced, multi-task working environment while adhering to strict deadlines
·        Good judgment and impeccable ethics; desire to succeed in a demanding, innovative, entrepreneurial environment
·        Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
