JOB SUMMARY 

Under the direction of the Director of Programming and Education, responsible for contract fulfillment, artist services, and logistics coordination for the Programming department particularly during events. This position represents MPAC and will deliver the highest-level customer service to a diverse group of artists, guests and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the venue representative to the client or tour manager throughout the event day.
  • Proactively oversee all event set-ups and activations, ensuring that the necessary equipment is prepared and delivered according to the event's needs, requests, and diagrams
  • Utilize event management system to review and monitor event details, communicate changes to appropriate teams, internal and external.
  • Assists with advance work to acquire, manage, and maintain event-specific information, and verify event requirements and requests with various internal departments such as Security, Front of House, Production, Engineering, Food and Beverage, Education, Parking, and Box Office.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors, such as hotel and transportation contacts
  • Manage hospitality and other artist services for all Stage Events
  • Oversee events ensuring requested services are provided coordinating with engineering, catering, custodial services, production, front of house, security, parking, etc. to fulfill artist and client needs and adhere to MPAC policies and regulations, and to the contracts and budget.
  • Make requests to the Artist or their representative on behalf of the venue, such as for Photo/Video permissions or interviews.
  • Escort Artist(s), clients, guests around the building and grounds. Represent MPAC at trade shows. Promote programming and rentals department.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS             

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. 

 

Education and Experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience in event planning or event and catering sales
  • Experience with contract administration preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License

Possess strong organizational & administrative skills.

Current proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel & Outlook.

Ability to multitask while coordinating multiple projects/events.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
