STUDENT INTERNSHIP - Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) 

 

Purpose:

The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) 2024 Summer Internship Program provides college students (both undergraduate and graduate) opportunities to participate in a professional environment, build workplace skills, and gain valuable experience preparing for future employment. 

 

Program Details

The Internship program will run for approximately Eight (8) weeks.

 

Program Dates: 

  • June 17th- Aug 9th, 2024 (Dates subject to change)
  • Hours: 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM (40 hours per week excluding holidays)
  • Compensation: $15.80 per hour
    • Preference is given to qualified CHA residents & HCV program participants.

Qualifications

The CHA is seeking applicants for the 2024 Summer Internship Program who meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as active students in good standing at an accredited college or university for the academic year 2024-2025.
  • Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above as an undergraduate and 2.5 or above if in graduate school.
  • Majoring in any of the following or related subject areas:
    • Public Policy Social Work
    • Psychology
    • Urban Planning Architectural Studies Political Science
    • Psychology
    • Economics, Finance
    • Engineering Computer/ Information Technology
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office computer applications:
    • MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

 

To complete the application process, applicants must also provide:

  • Proof of current college, university, or graduate school enrollment and resume.
  • A transcript of grades for the most recently completed semester.
