Marketing and Communications Intern
The Marketing and Communications Intern will play a pivotal part in engaging with & growing the Approachable community. This role will be responsible for creating content for social media, engaging with the community, & event planning. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in entrepreneurship & start-up culture to gain insights and experience in developing a company!
Responsibilities:
- Engage & communicate with the Approachable community via social media
- Develop content for Approachable social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok
- Manage planning, marketing, and logistics for Approachable sponsored events
- Attend and assist with hosting Approachable sponsored events
- Conduct outreach to sponsors & partners in the Chicagoland area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Development, Sales or related field; or 2 years relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Available to work approx. 10 hours per week. Hours are flexible (can work around school schedules)
- Ability to work some evenings to attend events
- Innovative, outgoing, inclusive, and passionate about helping people make new friends!
- Ability to commute to Chicago 1 to 2 times per week
Internship Duration:
- Spring 2024, with the possibility of extending into Summer 2024
