Business Intelligence Intern Fall Semester

SNY is an Emmy Award winning, multiplatform regional sports network serving millions of homes throughout the New York Metropolitan area and across the country through unparalleled and exclusive coverage of the New York Mets, New York Jets, UConn women’s basketball and all things New York sports.

Interns within the Product & Strategy department will support the Digital Media team in a wide range of production and marketing initiatives. These include conducting research, participating in audio/video production, gathering news, editing website content, compiling traffic reports for analysis, assisting sales inventory management, and crafting sales decks and campaign recaps. Interns will have ongoing daily tasks as well as the opportunity to contribute to standalone projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate interest in web, mobile, app, social media, sports, and television.
  • Exhibit a passionate for MarTech, user data, data acquisition, analytics tools, digital KPIs, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Show curiosity in digital marketing and user acquisition strategies, evolving media industry trends, emerging digital platforms, and assessing user sentiment.
  • Utilize excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and creative skills.
  • Maintain a meticulous approach, managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and collaborating within a team, while also capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Display exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of project follow-through.
  • Possess strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desired Competencies:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively utilize various tools and software, including but not limited to data visualization platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution throughout the program’s duration, with a current academic standing of junior or above.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by SNY.

Location & Time Commitment:

  • This role is onsite at our New York City, NY office, requiring a commitment of a minimum of 5-8 hours per day, spread over 3 days per week.

Additional Information:

The hourly rate for this student internship is $16.00.
